ASCE Bridge Tour & Dinner Meeting - MGEC has been working to set up I-35W Bridge Tours with MnDOT for MGEC members.  We believe tours of the new bridge, with information about its construction, may provide employees working in the engineering field with valuable education.  Until MnDOT can approve and coordinate such an activity, we are pleased to announce that MGEC has arranged for your participation in the Minnesota ASCE Bridge Tour and Dinner Meeting.  The walking tour will begin at the project site, with tour stops underneath the new bridge and at the 10^th Avenue Viewing Area.  Bring your own safety equipment (hard hat, vest, etc…) if you have it.  After the dinner, there will be a presentation on the design and construction details of the new bridge.  The invitation is extended to MGEC members and anyone interested even without ASCE membership.  The tour and dinner are on Tuesday, September 23, 2008.  Reservations are requested by Friday, September 19 so that the appropriate amount of space and food may be obtained.  RSVP to 952-832-2929.  The cost is $35, see the ASCE invitation for more information.
