MGEC & MnDOT Offer 35W Bridge Presentations – In an effort to provide MnDOT employees and MGEC members with a presentation, Q/A session, and optional tour afterwards, two times have been scheduled (approximately 90 minutes) at the MnDOT Arden Hills Training Facility, Room 1: Monday, December 1st at 9:00 a.m. and Friday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m. The presentations will include photos/slides. We hope many of you will find it beneficial to take time to attend one of the two sessions. An RSVP is not necessary, but is helpful for planning. Also, if you have questions for the presenters, please send them to Dana Wheeler beforehand so they may have time to consider their response. MGEC Negotiations Committee – MGEC members are welcome to participate on the MGEC Negotiations Committee (Large Team) for 2009-11 contract negotiations. The team can expect to meet 2-3 late afternoons/evenings (approximately 5:00–7:00 p.m.) in December and early January. Team participants will have an opportunity to review responses to an MGEC Negotiations Survey expected to be completed electronically by members in December. The team will also do a thorough review of existing contract language. If you are interested in participating on the MGEC Large Team please contact Dana Wheeler at mgec@mgec.org.
Open Enrollment Reminder - Open Enrollment ends tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Please note that all Open Enrollment elections and the Health Assessment must be completed by Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Please do not wait until the last minute to make elections or to opt to do your Health Assessment, as help with questions may not be available. See the 11/10/08 update below for information on completing the health assessment.
