MGEC PE EXAM REVIEW CLASS
The course is designed for
employees who will be taking the
P.E. Civil Engineering exam in October or April. The class meets afternoons,
typically on Mondays, from 12:30
or 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. once a week for eight sessions and is completed about a
week before the PE exam date. Currently the course is being offered
in both spring and fall. The class may be cancelled if there are fewer
than 15 participants. MGEC members may be able to take the course without
taking vacation time by utilizing the Employee Initiated Training section of
Article 4, Section 5 of the MGEC contract.
The instructors are volunteers from the MGEC membership. Topics covered: Geo Tech (materials, soils, foundations); Hydraulics; Transportation I (surveys & construction); Environmental; Structures; and Transportation II (traffic). We ask that you kindly take a few minutes to complete the course evaluation form, which will be mailed to you after the exam.
The class is free for full MGEC members, $15 for fair shares and other state employees. Depending on available space, the course is open to other public and private sector employees who will be sitting for the exam; the non-member fee is $200. Sign Up
Classes are held at the MnDOT Office of Aeronautics, Main Floor Conference Room, 222 East Plato Blvd., St. Paul.
