MGEC encourages every opportunity to get members together, have fun and discuss business or concerns. The golf event, a highlight for many members, produced a winning score of -10 below par and several other low scores as well. It was followed by social time for members who more than filled the meeting room. The evening wrapped up with the MGEC Annual Meeting which included member participation on-line. Motions were made with much enthusiasm that adopted the minutes from 2022, reviewed the budget, expenditure, and assets from FY2023 and set the budget for FY2024, discussed union events of the year, recognized award and scholarship winners, and provided an update on bargaining of the next contract. We encourage other events in and outside of the metro area. There’s value in getting together and having fun at the same time builds relationships and adds spice to life.

Thank you to all of the golfers that participated in our annual golf tournament. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather which contributed to the fun day everyone had.
