The Constitution currently on this page was revised and implemented in August of 2025. The MGEC Board revised the Constitution to clean up some inconsistencies. Most of the changes served to clarify the original intent of the existing language, but there were several substantive changes that will affect the MGEC Officer and Board election. Most notably, the terms for the President and Vice President move from one to two years, and the Vice President will no longer become the President automatically. Future Past Presidents will be whoever the last President was and will rotate with the related Presidential election cycle.
The policies have also been removed from the Constitution so those can be updated/changed more frequently as needed without having to redo the Constitution every time.
