Insurance Bargaining concluded on Thursday, June 1. A tentative agreement was reached between the union coalition and the State of Minnesota to provide healthcare for all state employees for the next two years. Scholarship & Awards Applications Are Open
MGEC has opened the opportunity to apply for one of three scholarships (2 Family Member Scholarships and 1 Connie Minetor Memorial Scholarship). Applications are currently being accepted and must be received by MGEC no later than by 5:00pm on June 30, 2023. For the MGEC family member scholarship, MGEC will now accept applications from students pursuing post undergraduate degrees and students in their junior or senior year of an undergraduate degree in engineering or land surveying. End of Fiscal Year Reminders
Remember to use your floating holiday and meet the required fiscal year balances for vacation, etc. before the end of the fiscal year (June 30). All employees who were in employment on June 20, 2022, received an additional floating holiday for Juneteenth Day. The additional floating holiday must be used on or before June 30, 2023.
