I’d like to take this opportunity to extend a personal “thank you” to our 684 members who completed the MGEC Member Survey. There were many thoughtful responses provided in the comments section; our Negotiating Committee is already reviewing the information and incorporating the results into the framework for our meetings with the State in early September. A participation rate of over 67% is outstanding. No surprise to us, the most frequent comments were with respect to wages. There were several consistent themes within those comments. Some of the strongest sentiments were related to fair ... Read More >>

2019 Member Survey Is Here!
It’s time for our 2019 member survey, so we know your priorities prior to beginning bargaining with MMB in September. If the email was quarantined, to receive the email and survey link, choose “Release & Allow Sender,” (see picture below). If the email is in your junk folder ... Read More >>

Look forward to information on the MGEC Executive Board’s thoughts going into this negotiating cycle, as well as an electronic member survey in July. We are finalizing our 2019 Contract Negotiations Member Survey. In ... Read More >>

We are continuing our outreach visits to non-MnDOT member locations; we’re working to make sure all our members, know we value their input and feedback. Following our meeting with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) (Feb 12), Dana Wheeler and Kari Torkelson (from MGEC) and Derrick Dasenbrock (MGEC President) visited with nearly all our MGEC members ...
