A benefit of Full membership in MGEC is that Full Members may be reimbursed up a maximum one-time reimbursement to $250.00 for continuing education or preparation for professional licensure.

MGEC Full Members shall be eligible $250 reimbursement towards:

  • Classes, seminars, webinars, books, practice exams, online study materials, or other expenses directly supporting a member’s efforts to prepare for obtaining professional licensure. The maximum one-time reimbursement will be $250. Must remain a member for at least one year after receiving reimbursement. Submit the “MGEC Education Reimbursement” form with a copy of your receipt showing the course and amount paid toward the course. MGEC will only provide funds on a reimbursement basis. This shall not include any fees for the cost of the license exam, the license or renewal of the license.
  • A class, seminar, or webinar they take that applies to their job classification. The employee must first seek reimbursement from their employer. If the State rejects the member’s request, then the member should submit the “MGEC Education Reimbursement” form, the State rejection letter along with a receipt of payment for the class to MGEC. The maximum one-time reimbursement will be up to $250. Reimbursement must be made with 90 days of paying for your class. Must remain a member for at least one year after receiving reimbursement.

Additional Resources (by request):

PE Fall 2020 class videos:  For anyone who is a Full MGEC member, we can provide free access to some of the instructor/class videos from Fall 2020. Please contact mgec@mgec.org for verification of your membership and access to the videos.

  • Please note that these videos were recorded in the fall of 2020 as part of MGEC’s PE review course.
  • The volunteer instructors have agreed to provide this information in an effort to assist MGEC members in preparation for the PE exam.
  • The material presented was created at different times and may not be the most updated information available.
  • MGEC encourages you to use these videos as a tool for your exam preparation but remember that these were volunteer instructors so the information could be outdated by the time you watch these videos.
  • DO NOT contact the instructors directly as their contact information may have changed and they may not keep up to date with the most recent PE exam requirements, as they are no longer teaching these classes.

If you have any questions, please reach out to MGEC at mgec@mgec.org.
