Call to Order (Benton C.)

1. Meeting called to order at 6:44pm by President Benton Campbell.
2. Benton provided a welcome message introducing the MGEC Officers, Directors, Committees, and Staff as well as briefly recapping the past years’ activities.

Scholarships & Awards (Mike R.)

1. Presented Golden Slide Award to Alfredo Rincon-Gonzalez.
2. Presented Distinguished Citizenship Award to Ryan Ross.
3. Family Member Scholarships were awarded to (not present at meeting):
   • Justin Kasa, son of member Eric Kasa
   • Christopher Sether, son of member Dean Sether
   • Martin A. Wagner, son of member Martin J. Wagner
   • Alexis Rustin, daughter of member Matthew Shane Rustin
4. Connie Minetor Scholarships were awarded to (not present at meeting):
   • Nathan Bausman, MGEC member
   • Mamadou Mbengue, MGEC member

Minutes of 2025 Annual Meeting (Mike R.)

1. Minutes of the 2024 meeting were presented for review by attendees. Minutes were approved by the Board previously.

Treasurer’s Report (Tony K.)

1. Presented Actual expenditures for FY2025 and FY2026 Budget
2. Presented current Assets & Liabilities (simplified as we are awaiting the 2025 CPA audit).

 Executive Director’s Report (Tony)

1. Provided an update on employment contracts for Tony & Donna, tax issues, audit status, and building status.

Labor Relations (Tony)

1. Significant year for grievance activity
   • Multiple disciplinary grievances
   • Major focus on FLSA-exempt contract violations
     • Represented 7 members in Administrative Court
   • Contract Bargaining for 2027-2029
     • MGEC announces “Intent to Negotiate” in December, 2026
     • MGEC Bargaining Team to be formed January through February, 2027
     • MGEC members surveyed March – April
     • Healthcare bargaining April through May
     • MAPE / AFSCME bargaining May through June
     • MGEC bargaining after MAPE / AFSCME bargaining completed

Membership Director’s Report (Donna B.)

1. Provided an update on membership numbers and trends since 1990
2. Recognized Honorary Life Memberships since last meeting (39 total)
