Resources to Help Reduce Daily Stress

A healthy level of stress can increase focus to complete tasks, and yet, frequent and intense stress can negatively impact health. Here are some resources that can help reduce stress and improve mind body connection.

  • LifeMatters Employee Assistance Program
    • Understanding the Stress/Health Connection on the LifeMatters website (password: stmn1). Professionals are available to assist you with concerns about work, family, and wellbeing 24/7 when you call 800-657-3719
  • SEGIP’s State of Wellbeing initiative, powered by Virgin Pulse
    • Online mind-body programs such as the basics of yoga, mindfulness, and emotional intelligence. Log into your Virgin Pulse account.
  • Health plan administrators
    • Dealing with Stress uses a virtual coach to teach mind-body relaxation techniques.
    • Five things about stress offers ways to cope with stress.
    • Preventive and healthy lifestyle resource provides tips on health and wellness.
  • American Heart Association
    • 3 Tips to Manage Stress
  • MPR News
    • Seven ‘simple’ steps to reduce the risk of heart disease
