MnDOT “Overpayment” Issue:
MGEC’s class-action grievance against MnDOT continues for the eight MGEC members whom the agency is demanding pay back authorized work hours simply because those work hours occurred in a pay period that contained a holiday. The issue involves language in the contract regarding pay for FLSA-exempt employees. Backpay: Coming in the February 6th Check
According to the latest information from Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB), the back pay from the recently implemented collective bargaining agreement will be paid on February 6th. This backpay will be based on the 1.5% cost-of-living increase going back to July 1st. Those who benefitted from the “range reassignment” (Grad 1s and 2s, Trainee – Grad Engineers, Trainee – Land Surveyors, and Land Surveyors in training) will have those process shortly after the backpay. ...
