MGEC TA Contract Results are Official

5 December 2025

The voting window for the MGEC membership to affirm or deny the Tentative Agreement between the state and the union has now closed.  The MGEC Teller Committee has met to review the methodology and results of the vote.  The MGEC membership has approved the Tentative Agreement. Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) has been notified of the approval, and we will now work with them to implement the new benefits of the contract.  We will pass along the specifics as they are known.  We will also communicate the timeline of when backpay to July 1, 2025, will be remitted. Reminder: “Teams” Meet with MGEC – TA Discussion

MGEC and Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) on the MGEC contract with the State for July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027. 2025-2027 Bargaining Update – TA Reached

After five bargaining sessions comprising forty hours of face-to-face interaction at the bargaining table (and countless hours preparing for bargaining), MGEC and the State of Minnesota have reached a Tentative Agreement (the “TA”).  As of this writing, the state just sent us the “redline” of the new contract that will be the precise language that you will see in the final contract, if approved by the MGEC membership.  We are currently reviewing the redline.
